ROTARY CLUB Handed over Equipments required in Department of Paediatrics at GMCH

Panaji: Rotary International District 3170 covers South Maharashtra, North Karnataka and the whole state of Goa. Rotary has been doing stellar work during the Covid Pandemic also and has provided many equipment at GMC and the Super Speciality block.While discussing with the Dean and the doctors, we came to know that the Govt Paediatric Department needs a lot of equipment for the Paediac ICU at GMC so that young children who come in from treatment from all over Goa gets the best attention.A list of equipment required was given to us and we applied under Global Grant Project No:- GG2126982.Last Rotary year, the Goa Rotary Parivar lead by Rotary Club of Panaji (Club President Rtn. Carlito Martins), Rotary Club of Margao Midtown (Club President Rtn. Nita Lenny D’Costa) and Rotary Club of Panaji Midtown (Club President Rtn. Yatin Parikh) worked closely with the Rotary Club of Keokuk, USA (Rotary International District 6000) and with the support of the Rotary Foundation, we generated Usd$80,384.00 (approx. Rs. 60 lakhs) towards this very crucial project.Our leaders District Governor Rotarian Gaurish Dhond (21/22) from Goa, Past District Governor Rotarian Sangram Patil (20/21) and District Governor Rotarian Alka Khanolkar (21/22) from USA have been instrumental in making this project happen. Rtn. Ajay Menon of Rotary Club of Mapuca was the main coordinator on the project. On Wednesday 11th May 2022, Rotary District 3170 will be handing over these equipment at the hands of DG Gaurish Dhond and IPDG Sangram Patil to Dean Dr. Bandekar (representing GMC) at 03:00pm inside the GMC Auditorium.We request for your presence to cover this lovely project and community service project of Rotary to serve the needy people of Goa.
