Panaji: Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar must realize that his Inaction in deciding on the Disqualification Petitions filed against the Defectors who murdered democracy by disrespecting peoples mandate has taken India backward. He should have asked the Lok Sabha Speaker to deliver his Keynote Address on the topic “Deciding on Disqualification Petitions in Time-Bound Manner” stated Congress Media Cell Chairman Amarnath Panjikar.
Reacting to the program arranged by Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar on Thursday 15th June 2023 at the Assembly Hall Porvorim, Amarnath Panjikar condemned the act of the Speaker of not including the Leader of Opposition as one of the Speaker during the Programme.
This is complete injustice on the Opposition MLAs of Goa. This shows that the Speaker is completely biased towards the ruling BJP Government and is afraid of the Opposition raising the issue of Disqualifications engineered by the BJP Government. This is another example to prove that BJP Government is suppressing the voice of Opposition, claimed Amarnath Panjikar.
Referring to “Vikasit Bharat 2047 and Role of Elected Representatives”, the topic of the Keynote Address of the Speaker of Lok Sabha Om Birla during the function at the Assembly Hall, Congress Media Cell Chairman stated that Lok Sabha Speaker should condemn the eight Defectors for their action of cheating God and disrespecting peoples mandate as Defections are surely not the part of Role of Elected Representatives.
Although we don’t have much expectations from the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, who moved in Superfast mode to disqualify Nations Leader Rahul Gandhi from Loksabha, I urge him to advise the Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar to decide on the Disqualification Petitions pending before him against eight defectors quickly, Amarnath Panjikar stated.
