CM Dr. Pramod Sawant Joins 6th Interstate Control Board Meet of Tillari Irrigation Project; Agreements Reached with Maharashtra on Canal Repairs and Rehabilitation

During the 6th Interstate Control Board Meet of the Tillari Irrigation Project, held in Mumbai, Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant joined Maharashtra CM Shri Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Goa WRD Minister Shri Subhash Shirodkar, and other board members.

The governments of Goa and Maharashtra reached agreements on various issues concerning the repairs and maintenance of canals. Notably, the long-pending matter of rehabilitating 22 families will finally be resolved. As part of the resolution, each family will receive Rs. 5 lakhs after completing the necessary due process.

These agreements mark a significant step towards addressing the challenges faced by the Tillari Irrigation Project and ensuring the well-being of the affected families. The joint efforts of both states aim to enhance irrigation facilities and promote sustainable development in the region
