Panaji: The Disability Rights Association of Goa (DRAG) celebrated 22 remarkable years of service dedicated to the empowerment and inclusion of persons with disabilities in the state. To mark the occasion, the association organized an informative session on Cyber Crime Awareness aimed at educating members about the growing threats of online fraud and digital scams.

The session was conducted by Cyber Yoddha Sahil Awasthi and Police Constable Anmol from the Panaji Police Station. Mr. Awasthi explained in detail the different types of cyber crimes such as phishing, online scams, OTP frauds, and fake job or lottery messages. He cautioned the participants to remain alert while using smartphones and social media, and to avoid clicking on suspicious links or sharing personal details online.

DRAG President Avelino de Sa thanked all members, supporters, and well-wishers who have stood by the organization over the past 22 years. He reiterated DRAG’s commitment to bringing persons with disabilities into the mainstream of Goan society through advocacy, awareness, and empowerment initiatives.

Mr. de Sa also urged members to follow the Cyber Dost 14C WhatsApp channel and the official Goa Police Cyber Crime social media handles to stay informed about the latest fraud alerts and cyber safety tips.

As part of the celebration, DRAG distributed food grains to 90 families of persons with disabilities, continuing its tradition of community support and service.
