Case Registered on Complaint by Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo Over Obstruction of Government Work

23 October: Anjuna Police have registered an offence under Anjuna PS Cr. No. 139/2025, invoking Sections 189(2), 329(3), and 126(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The case was registered on October 22, 2025, following a complaint from Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo.

As per the complaint, on October 21, a group comprising Traver Athaide, Ranjeet Parsekar, Michael Queriz, Maxi D’Souza, Desmond Alvares, Ana Fernandes, and Jawish Moniz, among others, allegedly formed an unlawful assembly at Survey No. 41/3 in Anjuna. The accused reportedly trespassed into a government work site and obstructed authorized construction and repair work being carried out by the Water Resources Department (WRD), Porvorim.

The group allegedly used criminal force to resist and wrongfully restrain the workers from performing their duties. No arrests have been made so far. The investigation is progressing under the supervision of PSI Viraj V. Naik.
