Ponda: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated a Special Camp for the ‘Griha Aadhar’ scheme under the Department of Women & Child Development, with a focus on clearing long-pending beneficiary cases across the state. Nearly 2,000 cases had been kept on hold due to non-compliance issues such as non-submission of life certificates, income certificates, and incomplete Aadhaar seeding.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister stated that the special drive has been organised to resolve maximum cases on the spot by assisting beneficiaries in completing the required documentation. He emphasised that the government is committed to ensuring that eligible women receive financial assistance without unnecessary delays.

He appealed to women beneficiaries to actively participate in the camp by bringing the necessary documents, assuring them that their cooperation would help authorities expedite the disbursement process. The initiative aims to streamline pending applications and ensure that rightful beneficiaries receive the support they are entitled to under the scheme.
