Panaji: The Aam Aadmi Party Goa Convenor Rahul Mhambre along with Barve’s Clinical Laboratory, Mukta Opticians, and Dr. Pallavi Dhume of Dentzz organized a free medical check-up camp at Mapusa residency main hall near Gandhi Chowk Mapusa on Sunday.
AAP Goa Convenor Rahul Mhambre said, “People often forget to take care of their health owing to today’s fast-paced lives and hectic schedules. This, in many cases, may lead to people developing chronic heart diseases, cancer, mental health issues, diabetes, and other hormonal imbalances. Hence, regular health check-ups become essential for one and all irrespective of age, gender, or occupation”.
“Thus, on the occasion of 60th liberation year of Goa, we had organised the medical camp to inspire people to take care of their health and implement necessary lifestyle changes in accordance to prevailing pandemic conditions to live healthier lives”, he added.
He said, “The camp was held from 9 am to 1 pm, and more than hundreds of people took advantage of it. Different tests like eye check up, blood sugar check up, cholesterol check up and dental check up conducted free of cost and expert doctors gave medical advice to patients”.
“As we celebrate 60 years of state liberation today, the Mapusa people are still clamoring for better healthcare. Goa will celebrate diamond jubilee in next 15 years. Therefore, we should all strive for a prosperous and powerful Goa in the next 15 years”, he said further.
