Mandrem Police Station has arrested an accused in a narcotics raid. According to SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi, Shahid, son of Alishan, aged 45, from Sabitnagar, District Ghaziabad, U.P., was apprehended for illegal possession of 600 grams of Ganja.
The raid, conducted early on May 31, 2024, at Madhalawada, Arambol Pernem, led to the recovery of the narcotics. A case has been registered against Shahid under Section 20 (b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act 1985, and he has been placed under arrest.
The raiding team was led by PI Sherif Jaques, with PSI Jugal Divkar, PSI Paresh Kale, PSI Pravin Shimepuruskar, PC Vijay Gaikwad, PC Mallesh Joodi, PC Rajesh Shirgaonkar, and PC Sarvesh Mandrekar.
Further investigation is ongoing under the supervision of SP North Akshat Kaushal, IPS, and SDPO Pernem Jivba Dalvi.
