Anjuna Police have apprehended seven individuals for their involvement in stealing high-end mobile phones at the Sunburn festival.

Anjuna: An interstate gang of thieves which was operational during the Sunburn
Festival-2023 at Vagator, Bardez Goa has been arrested by Anjuna Police.

the modus operandi of the thieves was such wherein they used to target music lovers, and steal their high end mobile phones while they were
Enjoying at the Sunburn Festival. A number of mobile theft cases were reported
Since the onset of Sunburn Festival 2023.

Anjuna police were already prepared for such incident and teams were deployed in civil clothes during the festival to keep a watch on such thieves.

The police team achieved a breakthrough, and finally busted the operational gang from Maharashtra and arrested accused persons namely

1. Mr. Ubedullah s/o Samiulla Khan, age 43 yrs, r/o Mumbra Railway Station, Mumbai.
2. Mr. Owaiz s/o Aktar Padaya, age 31 yrs, r/o Mumbra, Mumbai.
3. Mr. Sohail s/o Usman Memon, age 32 yrs r/o Mumbra Mumbai.
4. Mr. Abdul Rehman s/o Niyamad Ali Kha, age 44 yrs, R/o Malad West Maharashtra.
5. Mr. Saddam Ali s/o Sattar Ali Sayyed, age 30 yrs, r/o Vasai East Maharashtra.
6. Mohammad Zeeshan s/o Nazir Khan, age 21 yrs, r/o Mumbra Mumbai
7. Mr. Sohail s/o Imran Shaikh, age 22 yrs, r/o Kopri Thane.

All have been arrested under sections 379 r/w 34 IPC.

During the seizure recovered 29 high end mobile phones of different brands which are
All W/Rs.25,00,000/- Lakhs approximately have been seized from the accused persons.

Mayur Ghadi, Abhishek Kasar, Aniket Pednekar,
Kishan Bugde, Dipesh Choadankar, Amir Phadte, and Shanu Raut all attached to Anjuna Police Station did entire operation of arresting and and attachments of mobile.
