Panaji: BJP Goa State Media Convenor and State Spokesperson Siddesh Shripad Naik has demanded that the Congress apologise to the nation over what he described as alleged disrespect towards Vande Mataram, India’s National Song.
Naik said Vande Mataram goes beyond political affiliations and holds a special place in the country’s freedom struggle. He urged Congress leaders to clarify their conduct and tender an unconditional apology, stressing that “the nation must come before politics.”
