Margao: Supporters of Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao have appealed to the people of Cuncolim constituency to take advantage of a Free Medical Camp being organized on Sunday, 24 May, from 9 AM to 5 PM at St. Anthony School, Veroda–Cuncolim, in association with KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital, Belagavi.
Congress South Goa District President Assiz Noronha held a press conference on Friday, urging residents to register for the camp. Vaishali Naik, Savio Gomes, Adv. Sapnil Desai, and others were present.
Noronha informed that registrations have already begun and the response has been encouraging. “We are thankful to our MLA Yuri Alemao, who has taken keen interest and prioritized providing medical facilities to the people of Cuncolim,” he said.
The camp will include diagnostic tests and consultations in Cardiology, Neurology, General Medicine, Oncology, Urology, Orthopedics, Chest & Respiratory, ENT, Dental, Gastroenterology, and other specialties.
Savio Gomes stated that those unable to register online can do so at the venue by 1 PM on Sunday, with volunteers available to assist. “Through several mediums we have tried to reach people for registration. However, those who could not register themselves, our team at the venue will help them avail the medical benefits,” Gomes explained.
Vaishali Naik said that a special appeal was made to women to attend the camp, as specialized doctors in obstetrics, gynecology, and breast cancer screening will be present. “This will help detect diseases early and ensure timely treatment,” she emphasized.
Adv. Sapnil Desai noted that a team of around 120 staff members and doctors will be assisting during the camp. “This is a great initiative taken up by Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, which will benefit the public,” he said.
He praised MLA Yuri Alemao, highlighting his efforts in bringing a 15-bedded Urban Health Centre and Wellness Centre to Cuncolim.
