Panaji, Goa: Music lovers in Goa will soon witness a grand celebration of Bollywood melodies with the launch of Saarathi Antakshari – Season 1, a unique musical competition organised by the cultural association Swara Saarathi.
The event aims to revive the nostalgic tradition of Antakshari — the popular musical game that once brought families and communities together through the joy of Hindi film songs. With an engaging format and lively stage competition, the organisers promise that the event will be among Goa’s most vibrant musical celebrations.
Renowned Bollywood playback singer Hema Sardesai, who hails from Goa, has joined the initiative as the Brand Ambassador for the first season. Her association adds special significance to the event while also encouraging local musical talent to participate.
The competition will be held in multiple stages, beginning with a preliminary written round, followed by semi-finals and a grand finale. Selected teams will compete through innovative Antakshari rounds based on popular Hindi film songs.
Apart from celebrating music and entertainment, the event also carries a social message. The organisers announced that proceeds from the programme will be directed towards a charitable initiative supporting underprivileged children, making the event both entertaining and socially meaningful.
Speaking about the initiative, organiser Sarvesh Kamat Malyeker said that Saarathi Antakshari is not just a competition but a celebration of music while contributing towards a meaningful cause.
The organisers also announced attractive cash prizes for winning teams along with spot prizes for audience members. The event will also feature special appearances by personalities from the entertainment industry, adding to the excitement of the musical celebration.
Swara Saarathi has invited music enthusiasts, aspiring singers and Bollywood song lovers from across Goa to participate in the competition. Registrations are now open, and entry passes for the grand finale will be available from 14 March 2026 at Bharne Creations.
