The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress on Thursday undertook a full-day organisational tour of the Sankhali Assembly Constituency as part of its preparations for the 2027 Assembly Elections, aiming to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

The tour was led by Goa Pradesh Youth Congress President Archit Naik, along with Goa In-charge Swapnil Patil, State Vice President Vaishnav Pednekar, North District President Trevor Fernandes, and members of the Sankhali Block Youth Congress Committee. During the visit, the leadership held extensive interactions with local youth, party workers, and residents to energise the organisation and reinforce the Congress party’s connect with the people of Sankhali.

Addressing party workers, Archit Naik criticised Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, alleging misuse of government machinery to suppress voters in the constituency. He claimed that the BJP-led government was attempting to mislead the youth through false job promises and hollow assurances, while unemployment and frustration among young people continued to grow.

Naik said the people of Sankhali were no longer influenced by intimidation or unfulfilled promises and were seeking a change. He expressed confidence that the constituency would reject the BJP in the 2027 Assembly Elections and elect a Congress MLA.

The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress reiterated its commitment to fight for jobs, justice, and dignity, and to highlight what it described as the failures of the BJP government. The party stated that the strong response received from the youth during the tour indicated growing support for Congress in Sankhali ahead of the 2027 elections.
