Tarak Arolkar from Mapusa constituency for the forthcoming assembly elections interacted with the youth of the constituency and understood their problems. Adv. Arolkar is currently campaigning in Mapusa and he is getting overwhelming response. Today he campaigned in Mapusa in Ward No. 20.
Many burning issues of youth are pending in Mapusa including Goa. Employment is a major issue. Unemployment has risen in the last five years. However, despite being in the government, Mapusa MLA have not given jobs to them. Also, not a single job generating project or Industry has been brought in the constituency. There is intense resentment among the youth over this, as the present MLA was in the ruling government!
The situation has worsened since the Corona epidemic began. Many have lost their jobs. Some have had their pay cuts. As the price of petrol is close to Rs. 100, the youth are suffering. Adv. Arolkar feels that injustice has been done to the youth of Mapusa.
On this occasion, Adv. Arolkar reminded the youth of the promises made by the Trinamool Congress-MGP alliance in its election manifesto. The party has promised to create two lakh jobs. Under this government jobs will be given according to merit. Ten thousand government jobs will be given in three years. It will also create jobs by bringing in new projects. Apart from that, it is planned that the youth will also get employment in the private sector, said Adv. Arolkar.
