In a tragic incident, a 20-year-old youth, Rishikesh Bapuji Dalvi, a resident of Vilwade-Faujdarwadi, lost his life in a road accident near Chandel on the Banda–Hasapur route late Sunday evening.
According to reports, Rishikesh’s motorcycle skidded off the road and crashed into a tree amid heavy rainfall, causing his death on the spot. He had travelled to Goa earlier in the day to visit his sister for the Bhau Beej festival and was returning home when the mishap occurred. Poor visibility due to the downpour is believed to have caused the accident.
Rishikesh was pursuing engineering studies at Bhosale Knowledge City, Sawantwadi, and had earlier completed his higher secondary education at Khemraj College, Banda.
His sudden demise has left the Vilwade village community in deep shock and mourning, as friends and family struggle to come to terms with the loss of a promising young life.
