Panaji: The State Election Commission (SEC), Goa, has issued an official notification declaring the ward-wise reservation for the upcoming City of Panaji Corporation (CCP) elections. The notification, dated February 10, 2026, has been issued under Section 10(1) of the City of Panaji Corporation Act, 2002, to ensure equitable representation of Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Women.
As per the notification, the reservation of the 30 CCP wards is as follows:
• Ward 1 – ST Women
• Ward 2 – OBC Women
• Ward 3 – OBC Women
• Ward 4 – General
• Ward 5 – General
• Ward 6 – OBC
• Ward 7 – General
• Ward 8 – OBC Women
• Ward 9 – General
• Ward 10 – General
• Ward 11 – General
• Ward 12 – General
• Ward 13 – General
• Ward 14 – OBC
• Ward 15 – OBC
• Ward 16 – Women
• Ward 17 – General
• Ward 18 – General
• Ward 19 – Women
• Ward 20 – General
• Ward 21 – OBC
• Ward 22 – Women
• Ward 23 – Women
• Ward 24 – General
• Ward 25 – Women
• Ward 26 – General
• Ward 27 – OBC
• Ward 28 – General
• Ward 29 – Women
• Ward 30 – General
The reservation has been finalized based on the notification issued by the Department of Urban Development, Government of Goa, and will be applicable for the election of councillors to the City of Panaji Corporation.
The State Election Commission has invited suggestions and objections from the public, which may be submitted via email to dir-gpps.goa@nic.in within the stipulated timeframe. The notification marks a significant step in the run-up to the municipal elections in Panaji.
