The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has terminated MLA Viresh Borkar from the party’s primary membership with immediate effect after completing disciplinary proceedings under the party constitution. The decision was announced in a press release issued by RGP General Secretary Vishvesh Naik.
Following his expulsion, Borkar has ceased to be a member of the Revolutionary Goans Party and has been directed not to represent himself as a party member, office bearer, spokesperson, authorised representative or functionary in any capacity.
The party has also instructed Borkar not to issue any press releases, statements, letters, directions or any other communication in the name of, or on behalf of, the RGP. According to the party, any such communication made by him after his termination will be considered unauthorised, unofficial, null and void, and will not be binding on the party.
RGP has appealed to the public, media organisations, government authorities and all concerned to take note of its decision and disregard any representation or communication issued by Viresh Borkar on behalf of the party from the date of his termination.
