Margao, 27 July: Madganvcho Awaaz & Youth Leader Prabhav Naik has written to Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant urging the Government to expedite the Mathgram Vidya Sankul project at Davorlim, describing it as a transformative initiative for Margao and South Goa.
Naik recalled that Madganvcho Awaaz first submitted a memorandum to the South Goa District Collector on 12 August 2024, seeking the gradual shifting of major educational institutions from the heart of Margao to the proposed educational hub at Davorlim. The matter was subsequently followed up with the Government on 3 February 2025.
He further pointed out that the issue was raised in the Goa Legislative Assembly on 28 July 2025, when Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai took an assurance from the Chief Minister that the process would be initiated within three months.
Prabhav Naik noted that during the 2026–27 Budget Speech on 6 March 2026, the Chief Minister announced that work on the Mathgram Vidya Sankul at Davorlim had commenced. He urged the Government to now expedite implementation and complete the project within a defined timeframe.
He said the Vidya Sankul would help decongest Margao, reduce traffic around educational institutions, and create a modern educational ecosystem with better infrastructure for future generations.
Reaffirming his commitment to public causes, Prabhav Naik said Madganvcho Awaaz remains committed to taking every important public issue to its logical conclusion through persistent follow-up and constructive engagement.
