Panaji: Pagui Samaj of Canacona has hailed the decision of Congress to appoint Mr. Vaishnav Pednekar, famous cricketer from Canacona & a prominent youth leader of Pagui Samaj on the post of Vice President of G.P.Y.C.
Vaishnav Pednekar was earlier appointed as President of Canacona Youth Congress. He worked very hard for the last 2 years to build the Youth Congress organization in Canacona. He also worked very hard during the Assembly election for Congress Candidate in Canacona. His hard work, his loyalty towards Congress Party has been rewarded by elevating him to the prestigious post of Vice President of G.P.Y.C.
Mr. Vaishnav Pednekar, is a famous cricketer in Canacona and has represented Goa State for cricket under 16, 19, 23 & 25. He also played for Dempo Cricket Club for 2 years. Apart from that he is a qualified fitness trainer & has worked in “AZAYA RESORT BENAULIM” as Fitness Trainer. He has completed his B.A. from Goa University & presently looking after his family business. Apart from sports, he has keen interest in social work & is always on forefront in various agitations to resolve various issues in Canacona.
Youth of Pagui Samaj, which is a prominent community in Canacona has expressed happiness for giving proper accreditation to Pagui Samaj by appointing Vaishnav Pednekar as Vice President of G.P.Y.C. & thanked President of Youth Congress for appointing a youth of their community on such a prestigious post.
Mr. Vaishnav Pednekar while reacting on his appointment as Vice President of G.P.Y.C. has expressed gratitude towards Congress Leader of Canacona, Mr. Janardhan Bhandari & has given all credit of his political success/achievement to Janardhan Bhandari for grooming him & giving opportunity to work in Youth Congress.
He has expressed solidarity with the leadership of Janardhan Bhandari in Canacona& has assured to raise issues all over Goa along with issues of Canacona. He has stated that he will use his sportsman skill, sportsman spirit to take the work of youth congress ahead all over Goa. He has also expressed a desire to do a lot of things for the youths of Canacona in Sports, culture, traditional art etc.
