Reddy emphasised that technology-driven mining would enhance revenue, create direct and indirect employment opportunities for Goans and support the country’s steel production ambitions. He added that India’s current steel production of around 168 million tonnes is targeted to reach 300 million tonnes by 2030 and 500 million tonnes by 2047, and said he would encourage other states to adopt Goa’s technology-driven approach to mining.Show More
