Merces, Sept 22: A Medical Outpatient Department (OPD) was inaugurated today at the District and Sessions Court Complex, Merces, by Hon’ble Principal District & Sessions Judge Shri Irshad Agha. The event was graced by Dr. Rajesh Patil, Medical Superintendent of GMC, Mr. Santosh Bharne, President of the North Goa Advocates Association (NGAA), along with judicial officers, Public Prosecutors, and court staff.
The facility has been set up in compliance with the directive of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, which mandates healthcare units within District Court premises across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Irshad Agha highlighted the importance of the OPD in ensuring accessible and timely healthcare for judicial officers, court staff, advocates, and litigants. Mr. Santosh Bharne expressed gratitude and appreciated the swift action of the Hon’ble Principal District Judge in making the facility operational for the benefit of all stakeholders.
The Medical OPD is located on the first floor of the District and Sessions Court Complex, Merces-Goa.
