goaplusnewsPanjim:- Goa PCC president Girish Chodankar said that every decision taken by India’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi during her tenure was in the interest of the nation while the decisions that are being taken by the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government are Anti-National.
Addressing the Congress workers after paying rich tributes to Gandhi on occasion of her 104th birth anniversary, Chodankar said “If Modi was in power at that time he would have merged Goa with Maharashtra. Gandhi respected public views and gave us Opinion poll.”
“Indira ji created wealth for country by nationalizing whereas Modi is selling wealth of the country just to benefit 4-5 of his friends. Gandhi was nationalistic, Modi’s decisions are anti-national,” the PCC chief added.
Member of Parliament from South Goa constituency Francisco Sardinha said that Indira ji was not only a tall leader of the Congress party but also she is one of the tall leaders in the entire nation and the world.
Sardinha said that BJP government has introduced
20 point programme was launched by Indira Gandhi ji by giving it different names.
Several other Congress leaders, office bearers and party workers including Vice President MK Shaikh, AICC observer Mansoor Khan were present for the function organised to mark Gandhi’s birth anniversary. Arch Tulio De’Souza conducted the program while PCC Secretary proposed vote of Thanks.
