01 August 2026: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Saturday virtually chaired a high-level review meeting with Heads of Departments and key stakeholders to assess preparations for the state-wide launch of the “Nashamukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat – Sankalp Abhiyan.” The meeting focused on ensuring seamless coordination among departments for the effective implementation of the anti-drug campaign across Goa.
Reviewing the readiness of various departments, Dr Sawant stressed the need for a coordinated and mission-driven approach to tackle drug abuse through awareness, prevention, rehabilitation, and strict enforcement. He directed all concerned authorities to work collectively to make the campaign impactful and far-reaching.
Reaffirming the Goa government’s commitment to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a “Nasha Mukt Bharat,” the Chief Minister called upon every department and stakeholder to actively contribute towards building a Drug-Free Goa. He said the campaign would focus on protecting the youth from the menace of substance abuse while promoting a healthier and more responsible society.
