Panaji: Double Engine BJP Government in Goa is now in the making of doubling the amount involved in the Scam of Junior Engineers and Technical Assistants Recruitments. PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral wants to double the “Sale of Jobs” amount from 70 crores to 140 crores, charged Goa Pradesh Youth Congress Vice President Vivek D’Silva.

Addressing the Media after meeting the Public Works Department Chief Engineer Santosh Mhapne and submitting a Memorandum demanding to allow all those who passed Engineering after 2021 to appear for the Written Examination for the post of Technical Assistants and Junior Engineers, Vivek D’Silva said that BJP Government is once again trying to manipulate the Recruitment Process.

A Delegation of Goa Youth Congress and National Students Union of India (NSUI) comprising of Vivek D’Silva, Saish Aroskar, Yash Kochrekar, Leiven Silveira, Tejas Divkar, Aniket Kavlekar, Naushad Choudhari, Prasanjit Dhage, Alvaro Ferrao, Shifran Sayyed and others met the PWD Chief Engineer at Altinho today.

Government should consider the new Diploma Holders and Graduates in Engineering to Apply and Appear for the upcoming Examinations for the Post of Junior Engineers and Technical Assistants. They should postpone the Examination Dates and announce fresh dates for the new Pass outs to Apply and Appear for the Examinations, stated Vivek D’Silva.

The Government should also hold the Examinations through the Staff Selection Commission to maintain Transparency in the Recruitment Process and should set up an High Level Committee under Retired High Court Judge to investigate the earlier Recruitment Process of Junior Engineers and Technical Assistants advertised in 2021 and take strict action against those who were involved and responsible, demanded Naushad Choudhari.
