CM Pramod Sawant holds live interaction with Municipalities and Panchayats

Panaji: On his 50th birthday, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant dedicated himself to the service of the people of Goa through the Seva, Sushasan and Jan Kalyan Programme. As a part of this initiative, he carried out his duties as a Swayampurna Mitra at the Saligao Panchayat and addressed a live interaction with all the Panchayats and Municipalities of Goa.

During the event, the CM interacted with the Swayampurna Mitras, Sarpanch, Panch Members and the public virtually, presenting the vision and mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Swayampurna Goa with the motto of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.

He congratulated the Swayampurna Mitras for the successful implementation of the programs under Swayampurna Goa and highlighted the commitment of the Goa Government to foster skilling of youth to enhance their employability.

At the occasion, Sawant announced the launch Citizen Service Centers in Panchayats to enhance ease of living and ease of doing business for the public in the state.

In addition, the CM addressed the grievances and concerns of the people of Saligao, aiding them in the role of a Swayampurna Mitra.

The Seva, Sushasan, and Jan Kalyan Programme is a commendable initiative that showcases the Chief Minister’s dedication and commitment to the welfare of the people of Goa. The government’s commitment to skilling and preparing our youth for the job market is a crucial step towards the state’s development and growth.

He also attended and addressed ‘Siksha Sangam’ – Skilling the Last Mile a program focused on the theme of skilling, reskilling, and upskilling.

The CM further launched a booklet by the Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship that focuses on skill developments to help Goa flourish as Swayampurna State. Further, the Chief Minister released the Apprentice Circular focusing on the importance of apprenticeship in the institutions.

He further signed the MoUs with L&T Limited, Daikin, Abhinav Institute, and Yashaswi Academy with an aim to help Goan youths to engage as apprentices.

The CM then distributed job offer letters from the Pharmaceutical Sector to selected candidates along with apprenticeship letters to young candidates.

“Skill development is one of the primary focus areas under the Swayampurna Goa 2.0. The government of Goa is undertaking various programs to boost the employability of the Goan youths in all sectors of employment. The Shiksha Sangam program shall enhance the scope of skilling, upskilling, and reskilling and shall reach the last mile. I am sure the youth of Goa shall definitely benefit from the program,” CM Sawant said shile addressing the gathering.
