Panaji: Goa Mahila Congress Incharge President Beena Shantaram Naik is now appointed as full-time President of GPMC by the All India Congress Committee, Ms. Naik was Vice President of Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress.
Beena Shantaram naik was appointed as Incharge President of Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress to manage the day-to-day affairs after Former Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress President Pratima Coutinho resigned from Congress on 26 March 2021. She had contested Zilla Panchayat by-elections but lost. She was defeated by independent candidate Edwin Cardozo. Ms. Coutinho had blamed party insiders for her defeat. Pratima is now Vice president of Aam Aadmi party Goa.
