Panaji, November 18:
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa has rolled out an intensive door-to-door outreach drive across all 14 Zilla Panchayat (ZP) constituencies, a day after announcing its candidates. Party representatives visited households, interacted with residents, and highlighted AAP’s vision for clean, accountable, and service-driven governance.
Residents across multiple constituencies reportedly welcomed the initiative, praising AAP’s free health camps and expressing dissatisfaction with what they described as the BJP government’s corruption, instability, and growing “Gundaraj.”
In Benaulim, AAP candidate Joseph Pimenta said the response has strengthened his confidence. “MLA Venzy Viegas and I have consistently worked on ground since our election. People appreciate our efforts, and I am confident of an even bigger victory this time,” he said.
Morjim candidate Suvarna Harmalkar noted widespread frustration against the ruling government. “People here are tired of corruption and Gundaraj. During our visits, they spoke highly of AAP’s health camps and honest politics. Families want a government that works for them — not for contractors or criminal elements,” she said.
From Sirsai, candidate Umesh Kauthankar highlighted that voters are seeking a shift from unfulfilled promises. “Residents are welcoming AAP’s positive politics. Our continuous ground presence and healthcare initiatives have built trust. People want change and leaders who stay connected even after elections,” he said.
AAP’s Xeldem candidate James Fernandes reported a similar sentiment. “Every household we visited expressed frustration over corruption and governance failures. AAP’s transparent, people-focused politics is resonating strongly. Voters appreciate that our leaders regularly visit villages and address issues without indulging in Gundaraj,” he stated.
AAP leaders said the overwhelmingly positive ground response signals a growing demand for clean, accountable, and service-oriented ZP representatives across Goa. The party will continue its door-to-door campaigning throughout the week, covering every ward in all 14 constituencies.
