Panaji, Goa – I am deeply troubled by the blatant disregard for environmental and social consequences displayed by the Goa State Government, led by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane. Their actions prioritize personal and corporate interests over the livelihoods of the people and the future of our state.

The recent push for mass land conversion is a stark reminder of the government’s failure to protect the rights of marginalized communities and the environment. This shortsighted and destructive policy perpetuates a legacy of exploitation and devastation that we cannot afford to ignore.

I urge the people of Goa to demand responsible governance that prioritizes sustainability and social equity. The voices of affected communities must be heard and respected. I also call upon the Prime Minister’s Office to intervene and address the silence on this critical issue.
