Panaji – Union Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change Bhupendra Yadav must clarify whether any Scientific Study was done before forcing destructive Three Linear Projects including Railway Double Tracking on Goa, demanded Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao.
Reacting to the refusal of Union Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change Bhupendra Yadav to speak on Mhadei Diversion, Yuri Alemao said that all BJP Ministers volume is controlled in Delhi. I can understand his limitations, he added.
If the Union Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change says he is yet to study the Scientific Report on Mhadei Diversion, Goans want to know how Environmental Clearance was given to Kalsa Bhandura Project and how DPR was approved now without studying the Scientific Report, questioned Yuri Alemao.
It is loud and clear that Double Engine BJP Governments are betraying Goa since coming to power at Centre and State. BJP Government wants to destroy cultivable lands, finish fishing activity and hand over Goa to Crony Capitalists. It is proved time and again that every move of BJP Government is anti-Goa, reminded Yuri Alemao.
Three Linear Projects including Railway Double Tracking, Laying of Power Transmission Line and Expansion of National Highway are forced on Goa at the cost of massive destruction to environment just to facilitate Crony Capitalists, claimed Yuri Alemao.
Central Government has now given approval for increase capacity of Coal Handling at Mormugao Port. This was expected as Sagarmala Report has stated that Coal Handling at MPA will go up to 137 MT. BJP Government is all out to destroy Goa, Yuri Alemao said.
I once again appeal to public to stand united to protect Identity of Goa. Time has come to force the Government to change all its anti-Goa policies said Yuri Alemao.
