Panaji: In an official statement released by MD Narayan Navati, he has said GHRDC employs Security Guards and other posts after proper police verification and therefore there is no question that they bear any past criminal records. As regards the incident outside Colvale jail, the said security guard Sandesh Varak was absent yesterday and was not allowed to join the duties unless he submitted properly to leave to regularise his absence. The GHRDC is a reputed organisation and has been appreciated for its sincerity, honesty and devotion to duty by Government offices (Clients) where they are deployed and members of the public. GHRDC is a disciplinary organisation and therefore action for his removal from service has commenced.
