Reacting to the attack on Local Residents of Anjuna by Club Operators for lodging Complaint against the Club for playing Loud Music beyond Permitted Time, Leader of Opposition slammed BJP Government for patronising Illegal Activities in the State.
This incident has once again brought to the fore the high-handedness of the Outsiders against Local Goans. There is a Mafia operating in the Coastal Belt with the blessings of the BJP Government. This Mafia is a Threat to Goa and Goans, claimed Yuri Alemao.
The very fact of Local Residents are forced to approach Police Stations to file complaint against Loud Music, exposes that Law Enforcing Authorities are in connivance with the Club Operators. Who stops them from taking action, asked Yuri Alemao.
The Lawlessness in the State has already shown its adverse effects with steep decline in Foreign Tourists in Goa. There is a drop of almost 65 percent Foreign Tourist this year. BJP Governments “Mafia Raj” is responsible for Goa losing Quality Tourists in the State, pointed Yuri Alemao.
I appeal to the DGP to take strict action against all the Violators without coming under any Political Pressure, stated Yuri Alemao.
