Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai has likened the role of the Goa Police in the cash-for-jobs scam investigation to that of a “caged parrot,” referencing a term used by the Supreme Court for the CBI in 2013. Sardesai questioned the Goa government’s confidence in the police’s impartiality while opposing a judicial inquiry. He argued that if the police’s findings are unbiased and claim no political connections, there should be no hesitation in allowing a judicial probe to confirm the same.
