Panaji: The annual Carnival Float Parade 2025 in Panaji will take place on March 1, 2025, starting at 3:00 PM from the Old Secretariat and concluding near Kala Academy, Campal. To ensure smooth traffic movement, authorities have announced detailed traffic regulations, diversions, and parking arrangements.
Key Traffic Regulations:
• Float Assembly & Movement: Floats will gather on Ribandar Causeway from February 28, 10:00 PM, and general traffic will be restricted in this area until the parade clears Divja Circle. Floats will proceed via D.B. Marg and culminate near Kala Academy.
• Traffic Diversions:
• Vehicles entering Panaji from Patto will follow normal routes but be diverted at Dayanand Bandodkar Statue.
• Vehicles from Bambolim can enter via Mala Bridge – Four Pillar Junction – Bhatlem.
• Once the parade begins, city buses will not be allowed on D.B. Marg until the event concludes.
• Traffic from Ribandar to Panaji will be diverted via Merces underpass – NH-4A.
• Outgoing Traffic Adjustments:
• Vehicles from Miramar will be redirected via Campal – Fire Brigade – St. Inez – Caculo Island – 18th June Road – Church Square.
• Traffic from Rua-de-Ourem will be rerouted at Hotel Sona towards Kaju Darbar.
• Heavy vehicles and tourist buses will be restricted in Panaji from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will not be allowed past Miramar Circle after 2:00 PM.
• Parking Arrangements:
• Vehicles from North Goa will be parked at EDC Plaza/MLCP/KTC bus stand.
• Vehicles from South Goa should take the GMC – Goa University – NIO – Miramar route and park at Campal Parade Ground.
• No-Parking Zones:
• Jose Falcao Road, Joao Castro Road, Match Corner to Casa International (MG Road), Caculo Island to St. Inez, Church Square to Cortin Foot Bridge.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance and cooperate with Traffic Police to ensure a smooth and safe event.
