TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane has issued a showcause notice to Bhutani Infra in response to concerns raised by Goans, particularly residents of Sancoale, regarding the company’s project.
Minister Rane clarified that while the permissions for the project were granted before his tenure, he has acted on the grievances and agitation of the locals. “Based on the representations we received, I directed the Member Secretary to issue a showcause notice,” Rane stated.
The TCP Department has instructed the MPDA to thoroughly verify the details mentioned in the representations. Depending on the findings, the department may consider revoking the permissions granted to Bhutani Infra.
Rane also emphasized that the TCP Department has not granted any hill-cutting permissions to Bhutani Infra to date. The inquiry is ongoing, and further action will be determined based on its outcome.
