In a scathing critique of the state’s law and order situation, Goa Congress Vice President Sunil Kawthankar has condemned the recent attack on former Mandrem Sarpanch Mahesh Konadkar. Calling the incident a glaring example of the state’s deteriorating security, Kawthankar expressed concerns about Goa’s rising crime rate, suggesting it is on the path to becoming the “Crime-Capital” of the country.
He further highlighted the vulnerability of even elected representatives under the current administration, demanding immediate action from Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and the Goa Police. Kawthankar’s remarks have amplified concerns over public safety and governance in the state.
He tweeted saying “ Attack on former Mandrem Sarpanch Mahesh Konadkar is another example of failed law & Order & increasing crime in the state, Goa is heading towards being the Crime-Capital of the country with even the elected representatives unsafe. Will @DrPramodPSawant @Goa_Police @DGP_Goa act?”
