Sanquelim: The Department of Physics at Government College, Sanquelim, organized a study visit to BITS Pilani Goa Campus on February 15, 2025, under the DBT Star College Scheme. A group of 23 students, accompanied by faculty members Mahendra Pednekar, Mr. Aga, Suvarna Patil, and Anushka Panjikar, explored advanced research facilities to enhance their practical learning experience.
During the visit, students toured the Central Sophisticated Instrumentation Facility (CSIF), where experts demonstrated high-end research instruments and explained their applications in scientific investigations. They also visited the Physics laboratories, observing cutting-edge experimental setups and ongoing research in areas such as condensed matter physics, optics, and nanotechnology.
Faculty members and researchers at BITS Pilani engaged with the students, providing valuable insights into advanced experimental techniques and research methodologies. The visit offered first-hand exposure to sophisticated scientific instruments, encouraging students to explore higher education and research opportunities in Physics.
