Goa, 22 August 2026: The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has formally revoked the suspension of ten party members following the completion of disciplinary proceedings conducted by the Party’s Disciplinary Committee.
The Disciplinary Committee, after examining the allegations, relevant records, materials and circumstances of the matter, has concluded that no credible or sufficient evidence was established against any of the ten members to warrant disciplinary action.
The ten members reinstated with immediate effect are:
- Mr. Aditya Dessai
- Mr. Premanand Havlu Gaude
- Mr. Vishal Gauns Dessai
- Mr. Prashant Suresh Pagi
- Mr. Rahul Naik
- Mr. Dagley Fernandes
- Mr. Melvin Da Silva
- Mr. Licio Roncon
- Mrs. Manilla Shirodkar
- Mr. Sanjan Shriniwas Naik
The Committee also recorded that a person cited as a witness was issued notices to appear and provide evidence in the matter but failed to appear before the Committee or produce any evidence or material against the concerned members.
Based on the findings and recommendations of the Disciplinary Committee, National Party President Shri Viresh Borkar has accepted the report and ordered the immediate revocation of the suspensions and reinstatement of all ten members.
The reinstated members will resume their membership with all rights, responsibilities, privileges and entitlements attached to their respective positions, subject to the Constitution, rules, regulations and disciplinary code of the Revolutionary Goans Party.
RGP believes that discipline, fairness and due process must go hand in hand within any democratic political organisation. The conclusion of this proceeding reaffirms the Party’s commitment to ensuring that every disciplinary matter is examined objectively and fairly, based on facts and credible evidence.
All concerned office-bearers, party units, committees and functionaries have been directed to give effect to the reinstatement and make the necessary corrections in the Party records with immediate effect.
