Panaji: Adv. Aires Rodrigues has today stated that the 77 year old Rawloo Khalap will tomorrow move the Court over the inaction of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) at the Crime Branch to fairly and fearlessly probe the F.I.R against now Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar who is indicted of massive land grabbing and that a Court monitored investigation will be demanded.

Stating that the Justice V.K Jadhav Commission of Inquiry probing the Land grabbing in Goa was now a mere sham, Adv. Rodrigues has questioned as to why Justice Jadhav had selectively shied away from issuing accused Jit Arolkar a notice in terms of law.

Further expressing his view as to why a retired Goan High Court Judge was not entrusted with a familiar local terrain, Adv. Rodrigues has questioned the need of bringing a retired Judge from Aurangabad who is absolutely clueless of the local land laws and logistics in Goa.

Expressing his concerted opinion that the one man Justice Jadhav Commission was a mere eye wash to just fool the people, Adv. Rodrigues has wondered why no cognizance was taken against Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar who is accused of having grabbed land admeasuring 1, 48,800.00 sq. mtrs situated at Village Dhargal in Pernem of which Mapusa based 77 year old Rawloo Khalap is a co-owner.

Adv. Rodrigues has demanded to know why Justice Jadhav had not taken cognizance of SIT PSI Pritesh Madgaonkar’s affidavit that Jit Arolkar developed the property and sub-divided it without obtaining any permissions from the Competent authority and with an intention to cheat co-owner Rawloo Khalap misrepresented in the sale deeds that the vendors he was representing were the sole and exclusive owners in possession of the property while cheating Rawloo Khalap and the purchasers of the plots.

Adv. Rodrigues has stated that the now Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar with political patronage and in connivance with the Pernem revenue officials had grabbed Rawloo Khalap’s property.

A Division Bench of the Bombay High Court at Goa comprising of Justice M.S Sonak and Justice B.P Deshpande on 1st March had dismissed the petition filed by Jit Arolkar seeking quashing of the F.I.R against him in connection with this land grabbing case.
