Reacting to the Press Conference addressed by former Fatorda MLA Damu Naik and Digambar Kamat’s son Yogiraj Kamat regarding Childrens Film Festival to be organised at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, Capt. Viriato Fernandes demanded to know in what capacity Yogiraj and Damu Naik were allowed in the Media Briefing.
This is an insult to the genuine artists who are actually connected with the Films. We have many Goans who have performed as Child Artists in Films. They all are sidelined to accomodate the defectors Son and a defeated Candidate stated Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
We demand that Damu Naik and Yogiraj Kamat should be kept out of the Childrens Film Festival which is funded by the Government. If we find them on the stage during the festival, we will strongly protest. It will be the Government which will be responsible for any law and order situation arising out of our protests, warned Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
