Panaji: Goa has taken another significant step in strengthening its healthcare system with the launch of online OPD appointment booking at Goa Medical College (GMC). Announcing the initiative, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said the reform aims to make healthcare access smoother, faster, and more dignified for citizens.
The online facility currently covers OPDs for Medicine, Surgery, Skin, ENT, and Orthopaedics, and is expected to substantially reduce long queues while allowing patients to plan their hospital visits more efficiently.
Rane stated that the initiative aligns with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of a technology-driven, citizen-centric healthcare ecosystem where ease of access is a key component of public service delivery. He added that Goa remains committed to providing healthcare that functions with efficiency, dignity, and trust for the people.
Patients can register and book appointments online through the official GMC portal.
