Nerul Anganwadi Issues Resolved After Months of Neglect

Social worker Sarvesh Bandodkar stated that after nearly four months of struggling without basic amenities, teachers of Nerul’s Anganwadi had brought to his notice the absence of proper lighting, lack of water supply in washrooms, and unhygienic conditions caused by plumbing failures. Teachers had also expressed fear that overgrown bushes around the premises were attracting snakes and insects, posing risks to children and staff.

Bandodkar said he immediately deployed electricians and plumbers to restore lighting, replace damaged fittings including tanks and flush units, and clear the unsafe surroundings. He emphasized that this was not just about providing facilities, but about ensuring dignity for children, security for teachers, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for learning.
