Panaji: Panaji Mayor Rohit Monserrate convened a meeting between residents of La Marvel Colony, Dona Paula, and locals from Marivel village to address long-standing issues through dialogue and mutual understanding.
The interaction served as a first step towards improving communication between both sides, with residents and locals welcoming the initiative and expressing readiness to move forward cooperatively. Mayor Monserrate said that continued discussions and goodwill would help arrive at a clear and mutually acceptable solution, ensuring peaceful coexistence and better neighbourhood relations.
It was also pointed out during the meeting that certain external elements had previously tried to create confusion and divisions within the community for vested interests. However, the joint interaction helped reaffirm a shared commitment towards unity, clarity and resolving matters amicably.
The Mayor assured that he would continue to facilitate dialogue and support efforts that promote harmony and cooperation among citizens, with the aim of reaching a positive and lasting resolution at the earliest.
