Major drug bust by Anjuna Police

Anjuna: Anjuna Police have arrested a Gujarati for allegedly illegally possessing drugs with Rs 25 lakh. Police claim that this is the biggest seizure of the current year.

SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi informed that the sleuths laid a trap affer receiving a tip off that a person has been storing drugs to supply in a villa at Marna in Siolim.

“A warrant was obtained and the house was searched during which total of 475 Ketamine vials of total quantity of the 4.7 litres along with 270 grams of Charas was found hidden in the house. The drugs were immediately seized under the panchanama and taken into custody,” Dalvi said.

The raid was conducted in evening at around the 4 pm in the same villa where he lived on rent. Jayrajsingh Kiritsinh Chavda, aged 33 years of Ahmedabad, Gujarat was arrested for the offense under sections 22(b), 20(b) (ii) (B) of NDPS Act.

SP North Nidhin Valsan (IPS) informed that this biggest drugs seizure this year .

Further investigation is in progress with PI Prashal Dessai of Anjuna PS under the supervision of SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi. Raiding team consisted of LPSI Sneha Sawal, PSI Sahil Warang and PCs Ramdas Harmalkar, Arjun Sawant, and Sakharam Salgaonkar.
