Panaji, March 4, 2026: Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Governor of Goa, administered the oath of office to Sandeep K. Shinde as the Lokayukta of Goa at a समारोह held at Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula, on Wednesday. Justice Shinde is a retired judge of the Bombay High Court.
Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, read out the official order of appointment during the ceremony.
The swearing-in function was attended by Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa; Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Shripad Naik; Ministers Ramkrishna Dhavalikar and Subhash Phal Dessai; Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao; and MLA Krishna Salkar.
Judges of the High Court of Bombay at Goa — Justice Valmiki S.A. Menezes, Justice Dr. Neela Gokhale, and Justice Amit Jamsandekar — were also present on the occasion.
Director General of Police Alok Kumar, IPS; Commissioner, GSIC, Shri Aravind Nair; Secretary to the Governor Shri Arjun Mohan, IAS; Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri A. Ashvin Chandru, IAS; Secretary, Lokayukta, Shri Melvyn Vaz; Secretary (Vigilance); and other senior government officials attended the ceremony.
