Margao – It is clear that BJP wants to Privatise Health Care Sector. I want to assure People of South Goa that INDIA Government led by Congress Party will ensure that South Goa District Hospital remains with Government and ICU, Cath Lab, Neuro Surgery Unit are started immediately, said South Goa Loksabha Candidate Capt. Viriato Fernandes.

Reacting to the statement made by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane during his press conference on Privatising South Goa District Hospital by getting a Medical College, Capt. Viriato Fernandes said that BJP will snatch away Free Health Care from Poor People.

South Goa District Hospital was Congress initiated project to provide affordable Health Care to people. Construction of the Hospital was almost 70 percent complete in 2012 but BJP Government took 8 years to complete balance 30 percent work of just the Structure, claimed Capt. Viriato Fernandes.

Patients and Families are facing hardships as there are no facilities available in SGDH. This Hospital has become a Referral Hospital with patients referred to GMC or Private Hospitals, pointed Capt. Viriato Fernandes.

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane should explain why Government could not start the much needed full fledged ICU, Cath Lab and Neuro Surgery Unit when Government is spending crores on organising Events. BJP Government has spent almost 1000 crores on varius Events in Goa in last 11 years, claimed Capt. Viriato Fernandes.

Todays statement of Health Minister Vishwajit Rane is a Warning Alarm for South Goa. If BJP comes to power in Delhi, even the Health Care Facilities will be privatised and every treatment will be charged, stated Capt. Viriato Fernandes.

Let us all unite and send this anti-poor and pro-rich BJP Government home. I appeal to Goans to come out in large numbers and vote for Congress and defeat BJP, said Capt. Viriato Fernandes.
