Pernem: A habitual offender has been booked for man handling a traffic warden in Pernem. Keshav Shetye, aged 30 years and posted as Traffic Marshal at Mopa Project accused Swapnil Parab of Varkhand Pernem with abusing him in filthy language, snatching away his silver chain worth Rs 12,000 and threatened him with dire consequences.
“After hectic efforts and upon credible information the accused person was traced at Dadchiwadi Dhargal Pernem and placed under arrest. He has been booked in nine previously at Ponda and Pernem police stations for similar offenses,” SDPO Jivba Dalvi said.
