Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has announced plans to request a thorough investigation by DGP Shri Alok Kumar and the Cyber Crime Division into allegations made by GPCC President Amit Patkar. The inquiry will focus on the origins of documents and a call recording presented by Patkar, which Rane claims are part of a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation and distract from genuine job scam concerns in the state.
The Cyber Crime Division has been directed to examine the call recording in detail, including the exact date and time it was made. Rane clarified that his departments have not issued regular job postings over the past two years due to the centralization of recruitment within Goa, dismissing allegations of irregular hiring practices.
Rane further stated that defamatory actions, such as press conferences based on unfounded accusations, will not be tolerated. He emphasized that if Patkar cannot provide credible evidence to support his claims within a specified timeframe, legal action will be pursued.
