Goa has secured the top position on the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) scorecard for the first quarter of 2024, covering April to June. The state excelled in critical health indicators, including HIV testing, treatment linkages, STI/RTI reporting, and screening of pregnant women for HIV and syphilis.
This milestone reflects the combined efforts of Integrated Counselling and Testing Centres (ICTCs), Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) Centres, STI/RTI Clinics, NGOs, and the Directorate of Health Services (DHS).
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane congratulated the DHS team, stating, “This national recognition underscores Goa’s exceptional healthcare performance and makes us proud.”
Goa’s achievement demonstrates the strength of its healthcare system and its commitment to setting new standards in public health delivery.
