Goa showcases its growing tech ecosystem at India Mobile Congress 2026

New Delhi, October 9, 2026: Demonstrating Goa’s commitment to building a robust tech and innovation ecosystem, a high-level delegation from the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C), Government of Goa, participated in the 10th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026. Organised jointly by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, from October 7 to 10, the four-day tech congress was themed ‘Scale Without Boundaries’ and was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi.

The delegation was led by the Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Shri. Rohan Khaunte, alongside Shri. Santosh Sukhadeve, IAS, Secretary (IT); Shri. Kabir Shirgaonkar, Director, DITE&C; Shri. Neville Noronha, OSD to Minister IT; Shri. Gaurabh Sawal, Deputy Director (IT) and Smt. Sharda Katare, Head SeMT, NeGD. During the event, Hon’ble Minister Shri. Rohan Khaunte held strategic meetings with central dignitaries, state ministers and technology leaders to discuss collaborative opportunities, digital infrastructure scaling and policy frameworks to accelerate Goa’s tech landscape.

As part of the exhibition, five startups from Goa showcased their technological solutions to investors, policymakers and tech enthusiasts. During his visit, the Minister interacted with participating Goa based startups at IMC 2026 which included, Planmypaisa, Treleva Technologies, Phosic India Private Limited, Contractzy and Kverty.

Sharing about the startups representing at IMC, Shri. Rohan Khaunte said, “Seeing our Goan startups showcase their AI and deep-tech solutions on a national stage like the India Mobile Congress fills us with immense pride. Goa has become a launchpad for world-class tech innovation and we remain committed to backing our young entrepreneurs every step of the way as they build solutions that serve not just India, but global markets.”

Highlighting how platforms like IMC enable regional startups to scale nationally, Gautami Raiker, CEO & Founder of Contractzy, shared, “Being part of IMC has been a great experience for us. It is a fantastic opportunity to network with technology leaders, enterprises, investors and other innovators, while understanding the evolving needs of the market. The conversations and connections we are making here are helping us explore new partnerships and opportunities for growth. For Contractzy, this platform is more than just an opportunity to present our product, it is an opportunity to represent the innovation coming from Goa and demonstrate that startups from the region can build technology solutions with the potential to serve businesses across India and global markets.”

Reflecting on the importance of building out of Goa, Mexson Fernandes, Founder of Kverty, stated, “We are presenting our on-premise AI solutions – encompassing voice agents, telephony services and custom knowledge bases. We specifically cater to the hospitality and healthcare sectors, where data security is critical and businesses need to maintain complete control over their own data. The experience has been great so far with a like-minded startup connection that we have and in understanding what’s needed to create a differentiation factor. For us, this opportunity means moving beyond just validating our product to actually scaling our vision, proving that Goa is no longer just a tourist destination, but a serious launchpad for global tech innovation.”

By participating in national conventions like IMC 2026, the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C) continues to position Goa as a premier hub for emerging technologies, digital governance and startups, reinforcing the state’s transition from a renowned tourist destination into a thriving technological and innovation hub.
