5 June 2025: On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, Goa Marriott Resort & Spa took a significant step towards environmental sustainability by organizing a large-scale tree plantation drive. The initiative, led by Hotel Manager Miss Sheryl de Sa, was conducted in collaboration with Goa University and the Forest Department – Government of Goa.
The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from key dignitaries including Goa University Vice-Chancellor Mr. Harilal B. Menon and Forest Officials Mr. Narayan Parwar and Mr. Gopinath Bhosle. A total of 748 saplings were planted, marking a major contribution towards ecological conservation.
The campaign also saw the involvement of 12 committed volunteers who contributed over 50 hours to support the plantation efforts. Within the resort premises, General Manager Mr. Raj Chahar, along with resort associates, also joined in planting saplings – reflecting the resort’s firm dedication to a greener future.
